The XX

I recently came across the pop experimental group The XX, and have willingly placed them in my "new obsession" category.

The young London quartet formed in 2008. They have been creating a unique mix of pop and R&B, along with 80s-esque guitar rhythms and breathy vocal duets. They have referenced influences such as Aaliyah, Rhiana, the Chromatics, the Pixies and The Cure.

They're Facebook profile says it best, "It all started in a bedroom in southwest London, after school, drinking too much Pepsi. We just keep on growing."
