My Story
I have written my story of my time on social media here on my blog and I plan to continue to talk about mental health, disabilities and so much more with my blog. While these are my stories, I hope someone reading them can find where they can relate. I am not perfect, I have made mistakes, but every day is a new day to be better than I was the day before.
People can not choose your story for you. People can not decide who you are. Only you know those things.
People will call you names, say the nastiest things you can imagine, but it is what you do with that, that matters. Shine bright, be who you know you are and do not let their words of misunderstanding or hatefulness define who you are.
I began my journey reading, writing, and cosplaying because I LOVED it. It was an escape, a home for me to fall into and feel a security around me. I didn't know when I began my journey into all things bookish that I had OCD or that I was bipolar. It became an obsession for me I drowned myself in it and though I loved it, I could never focus on anything outside that world. In two months, I wrote my first book, In six I had it published. To many, that can seem like an achievement, but for me it was a months long manic episode I hadn't realized I was in. I see that now as I continue writing my series.
I went through one of through some of the hardest times in my life within a year, but I would not trade it for anything. Without that, I wouldn't have hit rock bottom, I wouldn't have gotten help and I wouldn't have the tools I have now to be successful to know what is my actual reason for how I feel and learning how to control irrational feelings and behaviors. In a way those hard times saved my life, it made me the person I'm suppose to be, a better version of me.
And one day, maybe not now, maybe not in a year- Everyone will see this better version of me.
